Rumors that Kimbo Slice could be pulled from UFC 113 to headline UFC Fight Night 22 , a likely April 17 event on Spike TV opposite Strikeforce’s return to CBS , were dismissed today, as an expected matchup with fellow Ultimate Fighter 10 castmember Matt Mitrone was officially announced for the May 8 pay-per-view event in Montreal. The Kimbo-Mitrione matchup was first reported in January and confirmed during last month’s UFC 110 , but was never added to the official UFC 113 fight card on UFC.com until today, when the UFC also formally announced the bout: Canada will get their first dose of the Kimbo Slice phenomenon on Saturday, May 8th, when the Ultimate Fighter alumnus looks to make it 2-0 in the Octagon on the UFC 113: Machida vs Shogun 2 card at the Bell Centre in Montreal
